I'll overwhelm 'serious combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair met personally to publicize next month's bout.

Former two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
